About
Airbiotics is a revolutionary new cleaning product that is ENTIRELY CHEMICAL FREE.
Used in the same manner as traditional cleaning products, Airbiotics has an innovative and effective way of dealing with bacteria, viruses and all the usual dirt and debris that can build on our surfaces. Airbiotic products are pet friendly, skin friendly, environmentally friendly and once you have tried, will very quickly replace the caustic bleach and other damaging chemical cleaners in your home, school or office.
Airbiotics not only gets rid of all the usual grime and bacteria lurking on surfaces, but actually leaves an invisible film that keeps on working for days.
- kitchens counters

- bedding and soft surfaces (can combat dust mites)
The cost effective products last a long time, and leaves none of the chemical residue that can be left on food prep areas by chemical sprays.
It is also a fantastic product if you suffer with pet allergies, as there is a spray specifically designed to safely tackle the dander from pets.
Why use Airbiotics?
HYGIENE WITHOUT HARMFUL CHEMICALS
Airbiotics is a very clever and innovative product. In fact, Airbiotics is the future of chemical-free cleaning.
There are bacteria all around us; both inside and outside of our body (mouth, nose, gut, hair) and on every single thing that we touch. Our Smartphones often having more nasty bacteria lurking than a toilet seat (one to think on). Most bacteria live symbiotically with us, the ‘good’ bacteria, and actively kill off and digest the bad bacteria that is also all around. This bacteria keeps us safe and healthy, and keeps the bad stuff at bay.
Microorganisms that are not so good for us can cause disease, food spoilage and odours, and the microbes tend to form colonies and work together to aid their own survival.
Take the black stains that form on your bathroom grout as an example. This is the result of a number of different microorganisms living and working together. Known as a biofilm, it is made up of the bugs themselves, and their biological by-products. It forms a protective film on hard surfaces that can harbour pathogens.
Yes, a spray of bleach might solve the problem, but traditional chemical cleaners kill all the bacteria they encounter – both the good and the bad. That, alongside the excessive use of antibiotics, has resulted in an increase in resistent microorganisms.
How does Airbiotics work?
Airbiotics is all about the natural balance.
Airbiotics has harnessed the microbiology of these bacterial ecosystems for a simple but effective biological strategy to clean the home. Packed into every product are simply good bacteria, or ‘probiotics’, that cause you no harm whatsoever, but go to work immediately to literally digest the colonies of bad bacteria. These little guys really are your friends. They will consume pathogens and unhelpful bacteria anywhere, and actually leave a healthy biofilm of their own to continue the good work long after the surface has been cleaned.
This is a very recent innovation in cleaning but, once you have seen the results and understand how fantastic this cleaning method is, you will never return to the old-fashioned use of harmful chemicals.
Keith Harvey at The Oaks Direct is a complete convert to the system, and will happily talk you through the science and the impressive results they have had using these products.
Airbiotics is chemical free, non toxic, non abrasive, alcohol free, non gmo, organic, biodegradable, allergy free and hypoallergenic.
According to studies conducted by Princeton Consumer Research Corporation:
Airbiotics’ effect on contaminants is much longer (up to five days) than leading disinfectants (just a few hours).
Airbiotics All Purpose Cleaner, Home Spray (Mist), and Hand Cleaner were all dermatologically tested on human subjects to determine the irritation and sensitization potential of these products. All were determined to be safe for use, safe for skin, and hypoallergenic.
94.2% of home use study participants said that the product was excellent or good and 100% said they would recommend the All Purpose Cleaner regime to friends and family

Alison Gilkes
Alison GilkesRemedial & Sports Massage TherapyAbout
Remedial & Sports Massage Therapy is just that. Therapy.
Massage is a versatile tool and can be invaluable in the treatment of a diverse range of problems. Clients come to the clinic for many reasons:
Frustrated clients unable to return to exercise due to old injuries and scars causing pain.
Clients with busy lifestyles that are stressed, tense, and need to unwind.
Clients who spend a long time in one position and experience tightness & stiffness when they move around.
Muscular aches, pains & stiffness?
Sports related injuries and niggles that impact your enjoyment or performance?
Stress, tension and generally feeling uptight?
Pain when moving a certain way, or when bending or lifting?
Old injuries that cause pain, or hinder peformance?
Stiffness from sitting at a desk all day?
Sports Specific
Runners, cyclists, triathletes and many others are prone to muscular injuries. Injuries may be mechanical, but can often be due to an individual’s particular biodynamics (way of moving), inherent muscular imbalances and non-activation of important muscle groups that are needed to support the movement.
Sports massage and remedial therapy can work to pinpoint the problem areas and work on releasing the tight musculature and fascia that is impeding movement, or causing pain. It comprises of remedial, deep tissue and holistic massage techniques and is completely bespoke to you and your needs.
Releasing tight and overused muscles can result in a greater range of movement and improved performance, as well as helping you to enjoy your chosen sport, pain free.
Amateur athletes who clock up a lot of mileage should consider sports massage as an integral part of their training regimen in order to keep the body pain and injury free, and to hit those PB’s. Regular sessions will keep you in peak fitness.
Wellbeing Massage
As the name implies, this massage will deal with the aches and pains you are experiencing that need not have any sporting connection. Once assessed, the massage will target the required areas and employ a number of techniques dependent on the client’s needs. This could involve deep tissue massage, or a gentle holistic massage that simply reduces tension, and leaves the client with a heightened sense of wellbeing.
Everyone will benefit from a wellbeing massage, as it can reduce muscle tension and pain
– improve the mobility of joints and range of movement
– improve rehabilitation after injury
– improve circulation

Beech Tree Inn (& craft shop)
Beech Tree Inn (& craft shop)Family Friendly Dining, Beer Garden & Animals GaloreAbout
The Beech Tree is a fantastic, family-friendly restaurant and bar, that sits just next to Dumgoyne distillery (a short drive north of Glasgow). Within an enviable rural setting, alongside the West Highland Way path and within a short walk from Dumgoyne hill, there is ample car parking and an extensive beer garden for warmer days.
The Beech Tree is a very popular venue for families, and it’s not difficult to see why. They are tolerant of children, offer an extensive child-friendly menu and have a menagerie of animals that will have the kids completely absorbed. Cute ducks, anyone? Miniature Shetland ponies? Wildlife walk? However, it’s not just children that enjoy The Beech Tree hospitality, and it’s a popular choice for walkers, cyclists, couples and those having a drive out from the city and want value for money dining.
To have a look at examples of the menu, click below (they also do takeaway):
Beech-Tree-Main-Menu-April-2017
Beech-Tree-Kids-Menu-2-March-2014
There is the bar area, snug, conservatory and extensive gardens that are all utilised for dining, so it’s easy to find a quiet space if you don’t appreciate the lively chatter of children.
What is quite endearing about The Beech Tree Inn, is that they do not set themselves up as a ‘fine dining experience’, but rather as an inn serving good old fashioned pub fayre. Locally sourced ingredients (where possible) are used to make a variety of homemade world dishes, but the focus is on good quality pub grub that offers great value for money.
There is also The Beech Tree Craft Shop to enjoy. This offers quite a broad selection of products from wooden sculptures, handmade jams & chutneys, funny printed baby bibs to printed (on site) t-shirts to commemorate your walking and climbing endeavours.
The Beech Tree Inn is certainly worth a visit. It’s popular with locals and visitors alike, and sometimes words don’t quite encapsulate what is on offer! A quick video play is recommended!
Useful Information
The Beech Tree Inn is located off the A81 Glasgow-Aberfoyle road in Dumgoyne, near Killearn, about 13 miles north of Glasgow City Centre.

Iona Buchanan
Iona Buchanan Gifts & HomewareAbout
Iona Buchanan is an artist and illustrator whose original works have been in constant demand since she gave up work in a commercial art gallery 20 years ago to create paintings rather than to sell them.
A botanical illustrator by training and inclination, her first passion was carefully observed and beautifully detailed watercolours of flowers, fruit and vegetables, (expect to see more of this in the months ahead). But a series of commissions from private collectors and some very bad puns by family members broadened her range of subjects to include birds, sea life and cartoons.
Frustrated by the inability to keep up with demand for originals and encouraged by clients, friends and relatives, she looked for opportunities to make her illustrations and images more widely available. It soon became evident that many of her images added charm, beauty and, sometimes, humor to numerous everyday household items.
Iona Buchanan’s design feature on cards, wrapping paper, prints, cushions, aprons, teatowels and a multitude of potential gift options.
All the items are avialable to buy online from the website.

ELSPETH BENNIE Artist & Blacksmith
ELSPETH BENNIE Artist & BlacksmithSculpture, Interior Designs, Exterior Designs, Commissions Contact: Elspeth BennieAbout
Elspeth Bennie is a Scottish award-winning artist and blacksmith based within the beautiful Stirlingshire countryside, a short distance from Loch Lomond.
SCULPTURE CONTEMPORARY DESIGNS METALWORK COMMISSIONS DOMESTIC EXTERIORS INTERIORS
The artist and her blacksmithing techniques embrace the traditional forge, but also integrate new techniques such as plasma and laser cutting, to allow a breadth and depth of artistic expression.
Elspeth offers a practical product, but one with high aesthetic values, that is unique and designed specifically to compliment and enhance a space.
Elspeth Bennie takes on commissions after discussions with the client to ensure that every sculpture and artwork is both beautiful and practical for their needs.
Elspeth undertakes a wide variety of sculpture, public art and domestic and architectural metalwork. Most of the work is bespoke, creating pieces specifically for the client. As an artist, her design led approach means than the piece can be integrated well with its finished surroundings at both an aesthetic and functional level.
Sculpture is Elspeth Bennie’s particular joy, and she relishes the challenge that designing a bespoke sculpture offers. While the sculpture must meets the brief of the client, it must also be inspired and a thing of beauty to enhance the space it is designed to inhabit.
The public commission for the heron in Dunblane was one recent work (the project won the Sustrans Community Links Award for 2016) and other commissioned public work is in-situ within schools and public spaces.
However, not all the metalwork undertaken is sculpture, and Elspeth enjoys working with home and business owners to create bespoke forged interior or exterior designs.
Interiors
Bespoke metalwork gives an individuality to a home unachievable with off the shelf products. Whether it is getting something made to measure to fit an awkward space or commissioning a piece of work that reflects your own personality and style Elspeth can work with you to achieve it. Balustrading, curtain rails, candlesticks, furniture, handrails, handles, door pulls and are some of the many items that can be produced.
Exteriors
Whether it is a complex architectural feature, or gates and railings to add character to you property, there is no end to the possibilites when art and blacksmithing come together.

Cycle Safaris
It’s a lot of fun to jump on your mountain bike and head off to the trails that abound in the area around Loch Lomond & the Trossachs, Aberfoyle and Callander, as well as enjoying the smoother ride afforded by the Sustrans route 7 that runs north via Lochearnhead & Strathyre. However, as we pedal along, it is easy to miss so much. Intrepid:Scotland can take your family biking experience to another level:
Look out for our Cycle Safari Events listed on Facebook. They typically run from Easter through the summer holiday. Based around Aberfoyle and Callander, suitable for individuals and families with kids as young as seven, they are themed on natural navigation, bushcraft, foraging and wildlife spotting. Our Cycle Safaris run for around 2hrs at £15 per person.
We can run Cycle Safari just for you. For individuals, families, groups, companies. We can arrange for bike hire at cost too, through one of our local providers. The ride can be as gentle or mental as you like! Sessions can be for part days, full days or multi-days.
Walking, Campfire Cooking & Fishing
Combine some walking (there are many Intrepid walking options) with foraging, fishing and a campfire, and you have a campfire cooking party. Tim is a masterchef around the campfire (poetic license allowed), and can rustle up some tasty dishes (stirfry, veg pittas and even open fire pizzas), all the while incorporating intrepid bushcraft skills. For those wanting to stick to something more rustic, Tim can show you how to make bread on a stick, bannocks, nettle broth. Great for the kids.
Bushcraft Birthday Parties
The evergreen bushcraft party has to be THE best birthday experience you can gift to boys & girls over the age of 5. The kids just love this. This really is a wonderful encounter with nature; with the kids finding the camping spot, making shelters, sorting kindling and making a spark to start their own fire. Baking bread and toasting marshallows over their own fire is exciting and gives such a strong sense of personal achievement. Barefoot walking and some slacklining might add to the experience. Oh, and cake too.

Close to the villages of Aberfoyle, Gartmore, Killearn, Buchlyvie & Balfron, and a short drive from Glasgow or Stirling, Macmillans has a enviable conservatory setting with stunning views to the the Trossachs.
A perfect spot for meeting friends or family, Macmillans is also an ideal venue for networking groups to meet during the week.

Macmillans Lunches
All ingredients are sourced, as far as possible, locally and everything on the menu is cooked from scratch by Chef-owner David. His passion for producing quality dishes, at a reasonable price point, is signature for Macmillans and their success is evident from the 5* reviews and returning customers.
If you are planning to arrive with a few people, booking is advised to avoid disappointment, and please allow time for us to make your lovely fresh lunch from scratch.
We can accommodate most dietary requirements providing we are given advance warning #coeliac #glutenfree #dairyfree #paleo
We keep our lunch menu simple and fresh, with a few perenial favourites.
Coffee & Cakes
Did we mention cake? We do cake. All of it freshly made (nothing ‘bought in’ here). We have the usual favourites, plus some more unusual (and popular ones) such as Caramac Fancies.
Bistro Nights
Bistro nights are our ‘gourmet’ experience at Macmillans, and usually occur on a Thursday evening. BYOB, and enjoy a fantastic culinary experience as David gets to really show off his skills in the kitchen. The two or three course set menu has great choices, and is a perfect excuse to book a table with friends and have a lovely night away from the kids.
There is a small corkage charge, and a great atmosphere in the bistro. The conservatory is festooned with fairy lights, and with a relaxed vibe, it’s well suited to a romantic night for two, or to cater to a more buzzy table of old friends.
Booking is essential, and tables go very quickly. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for the next Bistro Night.
Dave’s Diner
Useful Information
The view of the mountains is amazing. Lovely friendly staff and the food. I have had the breakfast (only just managed to eat it all, but I had to it was so nice.) The burgers on Dave’s Diner are filling and are not fast food, a proper butcher style burger, plenty of meat. Bistro night was special and the food absolutely stunning. If you are in the area you have to visit. I would strongly recommend Dave’s diner and the bistro nights for that something a little more special.

Well what can I say? A diamond find. My kids, hubby and I had lunch here yesterday and back for breakfast today, faultless. Totally recommend the Goats cheese, beetroot, rocket and onion toastie A great selection of delicious homemade cakes also, I even spied Gluten free too! Fresh coffee and a stunning view, what else can you ask for. Next time we will definitely be booking into one of the special Bistro nights. Nicola at front of house was so welcoming, friendly and professional, what a wee star . Cannot wait to return.

Just had brunch and it just hit the spot. Always well worth the journey from Alloa. Staff friendly and great food with a view as well as a well stocked Garden Centre next door.

This is an undiscovered gem. A relaxed bistro feel, with locally sourced ingredients and all dishes made from scratch. Very reasonably priced too. Smoked salmon was the best. Great venue for a day out from the city, to meet friends for coffee or lunch. It’s my favourite meeting place, and the views from the conservatory restaurant are fantastic. Yet to try Dave’s Diner on a Friday night, but hear great things.

We’ve eaten here many time since the Macmillan take over and the food and service is consistently excellent. Can’t wait for the next Gourmet/Bistro Night!
