Recently, I was persuaded to have my lashes ‘done’. Now, in the past I’ve tried those spidery clumps of individual lashes that glue to the lash line with big globs of glue for special events, but I wasn’t left very impressed with the result (and all I could see/feel was the hardened glue).
However, I love these beauties (and for the record, this is not an advertorial, and I don’t get paid to say so!). Thing is, I may be a wee bit addicted as they look fab and I wake up each morning looking great. No make-up required.
This multi-lash technique involves adhering synthetic, ultra-fine lashes onto a single natural lash. The main benefit of Russian Layering is that it gives clients a full, high impact glamorous look with maximum natural looking volume.
It takes roughly an hour depending on the effect you want, but the results can last up to 5 months (with in-fills every 2-3 weeks), so a superb treat for the summer months. I had the ‘Russian Varia’ effect which is a middle of the road option, but you can opt for a more subtle effect, or a total super lash effect. I just love them, and reckon I’ll stick with them over the next few months. I know I’m going to look lashless and sad at the end comparatively, but it’s just great not having to put mascara on and be able to go out looking great. Vain, possibly, but so worth it!
To see the effect of the lashes on someone other than an 18 yr old model, I took a little video of my lashes after I had them done – fluttertastic.
