Mugdock’s Geological Past, Friday 7th

Mugdock Country Park offers a wealth of landscape features that tell us a great deal about the past.

On this Ranger led guided walk, you will learn the basics of the geological earth surface processes which contribute to how the landscape of the country park looks the way it does today. This walk will visit some of our landscape features and viewpoints, offering spectacular vistas of the Blane Valley, the Highland Boundary Fault and the Arrochar Alps to the north.

Helensburgh Market in the Square runs on the second Saturday of each month

Our producers will vary dependant on the seasonal availability of their products, but at most Markets you will find fresh home-baking, seasonal veg, fresh and smoked fish, seafood, beef, lamb, pork, cured meats, cheese, jams, pet supplies, and some craft stalls as well.

Repair Cafe, Transition, Stirling

Transition Stirling are very exciting to be hosting Stirling’s first Repair Cafe! At the repair cafe volunteers with a range of skills will help visitors to repair and mend items they bring in that need fixing. We will have a range of categories for items including small electrical items, jewellery, clothing & textiles or furniture.

So bring along your items and learn how to repair them! No booking is necessary – just come along on the day. Courtesy of Stirling Voluntary Enterprise we will be hosting it in a pop up shop in Murray Place (formerly CHAS charity shop).
